According to a document recently issued by the National Health Commission, the Red Cross Society of China and the Health Bureau of the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission, Zhongshan has been awarded the "National Advanced City for Voluntary Blood Donation" title for the 12th consecutive time.
The selection is carried out every two years to commend individuals, organizations and provinces and cities that have made outstanding efforts in voluntary blood donation.
The Public Service Office of the Guzhen town government won "The Award for Promotion of Voluntary Blood Donation", and a total of 1,972 blood donors in Zhongshan were granted the National Awards for Blood Donation Dedication.
In 2022, Zhongshan reported 55,535 blood donations, including 50,709 whole blood donations with a total volume of 17,067,665 ml.
